Assessments Suite – Creation/Evolution

In aiming to head projects that are maximally useful, The Chardin Collective is currently in the process of developing and testing, through the use of simulated pilot studies, a suite of assessments designed to explore perspectives on creation/evolution topics. Whether you’re an educator, researcher, or simply curious to take them on your own, these introductory indexes provide a structured way to measure belief strength, consistency, and openness to alternative perspectives.

The assessments are user-friendly, free to use and download, and are designed to promote thoughtful reflection and dialogue. By using these tools, you contribute to a deeper understanding of the intersection between science, faith, and personal worldview.

Start exploring today—download the tools below and join the conversation. If you have any questions, comments, or reviews, be sure to leave them in the comments below.

– A Young-Earth Creationism Belief-Strength Index – Developed to gauge the level of the respondent’s adherence to young-Earth creationist beliefs, using concise and neutral questions/scaling. It offers insights into core beliefs, the consistency of those beliefs, and openness to engaging with differing viewpoints. Semi-validated through an LLM-simulated survey of 95 virtual participants.

– A Quick-Dialogue Evolution Acceptance and Rejection Index – Developed to gauge individuals’ placement along the evolutionary acceptance-rejection spectrum, using twelve concise, neutral Likert items. It delivers insight into core acceptance, consistency of stance, and openness to competing views. Semi-validated through an LLM-driven simulation of 95 virtual participants.

– A Creation-Evolution Belief Spectrum Index – Developed to gauge where a respondent rests along the creation-evolutions spectrum, measuring five separate areas on a Likert scale to determine whether someone is best described as a young-Earth creationist, old-Earth creationist, evolutionary creationist, Intelligent Design advocate, or a naturalistic evolutionist. Semi-validated through an LLM-driven simulation of 95 virtual participants.
